Holidays coming to an end, but at least it did feel like one month. I could do with more, but this much was good enough this year, I don't know why. Ending it being sick was not what I wanted, but it gives me a reason to sleep and get enough rest, not that I couldn't during the holidays, I just didn't try.
So the day started with a Flash Flood all round the coutry, replica of last Wednesday's event, except that this time, SG was more prepared for it. But, that "theory" about the flood occurring one time in 50 years proved wrong. I arrived at 9.05 in school, already 5 minutes late. But there was someone else, of all people, who wasn't present, and that was the teacher. He came into the room 1 hour later at about 10.10, and quickly got started. Another hour later, one student stepped into class but was rejected by the teacher, told to go home, for he was already at a stage where he could not catch up.
Appcode Programming was similar to ActionScript, but the functions are different, and naturally, the way to present the code for these functions differed. But, a standard procedure across these kinds of programming languages is that a semi-colon has to be put in after every line, and this was the most common mistake among us students. Programming languages were also ultra-case-sensitive, which would be the 2nd typical mistake next to the absence of the semi-colon.
Throughout the day, we created 2 really simple apps, but that was not the end of the Basic Course. We were told that the full course was 18 hours, just to get through with the Basics of Appcode Programming. At 2 hours per session, we were told that we could sign up for it if we wished by asking the teachers. Not what I would look forward to, so, no for me.
